fiction
We publish fiction that thrills and surprises. We believe strongly in the importance of playfulness and love reading work where we can tell that the writer has had fun. We enjoy many different styles, voices, and topics.
poetry
We are looking for poetry that can be felt from the top of the head to the tips of the toes. We have no line limit or preferred form and enjoy when poets use length and genre convention in subversive and innovative ways.
non-fiction
Similarly to fiction, we are looking for non-fiction which plays with form and genre and surprises the reader. We publish essays and creative non-fiction but are very open to non-fiction that does not fall neatly into these categories. We have no preferred topics - we have a large appetite.
submissions
Twice yearly, we publish editions made up of poetry and prose and the exact make-up of the quarter depends on the submissions. We might have a quarter that is made up entirely of poetry, for example.
With prose, we are open to both non-fiction and fiction submissions. In non-fiction, we primarily publish essays and creative nonfiction.
